Following the footsteps of the villagers the trail from Kakani to Panauti leads on the Northern and Eastern ridges around Beautiful SceneryKathmandu valley. The trek indulges one on superb himalayan vista of Annapurna 2, Hiuchuli, Lenpogang, Manaslu, Langtang, Ganesh, Jugal, Gauri Shankar, Dorje Lakpa and Everest peaks. Shivapuri watershed and Conservation project on the way offers rare flora & Fauna. The trail is wide and marked by thick vegetation and farms. The highest hills we reach are Taresmar (2252m), Ahale Dara ridge top (2321m), Shivapuri (2732 m), Chisapani, Nagarkot and Namobudha, all them splendid for grand sceneries.

Visits to ancient newari towns of Panauti, Dhulikhel and sacred site of Namobudha give a different dimension to the trek. Built at the confluence of Roshi and Pungmati rivers Panauti boasts of art & architecture dating back to 15th century. The town is considered a treasure-trove of Newari architecture. Dhulikhel a trading center between people of Kathmandu valley and those in the East is traditional Newari town displaying Newari culture. Namobudha, a famous budhist site houses stone images lord Budha feeding a tigress and her cubs. According to a legend Buddha came across a starving tigress about to devour a child at this spot. Being compassion incarnate he offered his own flesh to the tigress in the child's place.

Multitude of villages and glimpses into the lives of the villagers add yet another attraction to this trek.
