The Solu-Khumbu region is fascinating and justifiably famous, not only for its proximity to the world's highest mountain, but also for its Sherpa villages and Buddhist monasteries. This slow paced exploration allows us to enjoy grandeur of Khumbu peaks and time to mix with Sherpas. Everest Base camp teahouse trek takes you along the trail where you will see the world's highest peaks, including Everest, AmaDablam, and Lhotse. The splendor of the landscape, the magnificent Himalayas, sherpa culture and the ancient Budhist monasteries are the attractions of Everest region.

At Dingboche a path forks East towards Chukhung. Island peak is positioned Northeast of Chukhung. 

Located nearby and West of Dingboche the Nangkartshang Gomba provides a grand view of Mt.Makalu. Extraordinary views of the peaks - Ama Dablam, Lhotse and Nuptse - the ice walls of Amphu Lapcha pass (5780m) and the streams flowing from Lhotse & Nuptse glaciers, the spectacular Imja Khola valley are the rewards of trekking to Chukhung.

This is an ideal trek for those who wish to savor the magnificent Everest region.
